What's your "Why?"

You can’t get to the “how” in your career until you get honest with yourself about your true intentions. You have to start asking yourself, “Why is seeking this dream job so important to me?”

Why is answering the “why” so important?

Because there will be moments when you will break down, get frustrated, become angry, feel hopeless, pull all-nighters, or feel like giving up and start to question if all of your hard work towards your dream job is really worth it. You then ask yourself: “why” am I doing this work? For this reason, it is especially important that you be able to refer back to your answer. Because when you don’t feel tied to a greater cause or purpose related to what you feel most passionate about or called to do, you waste a lifetime trying to figure it out.

State your compelling why.

Consider and answer these questions:

Who is the real, authentic person who represents you to the core?
