Live Career Training

As Seen On:

For colleges and universities that put career services at the top of their strategic plans, it will become one of the most important drivers of enrollment growth as students and parents seek career outcomes as their top reason for attending. (Forbes)

And as the importance of college among young people has declined nearly 50% in the past 6 years, it is increasingly critical for colleges and universities to understand what both motivates and de-motivates students to enroll.

The two biggest drivers are:

1. College Cost
2. Workforce Readiness

Unfortunately, within workforce readiness U.S. colleges score poorly on the percentage of graduates who leave with applied work experiences and long-term projects—and today’s current students aren’t helping as they are the least working generation in U.S. history.

Hardly anyone believes college graduates are well prepared for success in the workplace. With 13% of U.S. adults, 11% of C-level executives and 6% of college trustees giving strong approvals to the work readiness of college grads, there’s clearly a lot of room for improvement. (Forbes)

But this tendency could help explain why so few students are confident they’ll graduate with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in the job market—this at a time when it’s especially important for millennials to secure a comfortable income after college, as they’re entering a world with fewer robust safety nets, such as social security, skyrocketing housing prices and will graduate with crippling debt. So how do we close the workforce readiness gap?  Currently there are several online educational sites that feature thousands of courses and video tutorials where individuals can discover, complete, and track courses related to their field and interests. This includes but is not limited to workforce readiness courses available on demand such resume development, interviewing skills and personal branding offerings and many more… These offerings may also already be offered inhouse and available to your current student body.

But what is missing and what is often not readily available within higher learning are workplace readiness programs that allow students for deep impactful conversation on self-actualization, authenticity and self-awareness.

Research suggests that when we see ourselves clearly, we are more confident and more creative. We make sounder decisions, build stronger relationships, and communicate more effectively. We’re less likely to lie, cheat, and steal. We are better workers who get more promotions. And we’re more-effective leaders with more-satisfied employees and more profitable companies. Our firm offers the solution through an exclusive 3-part group coaching series:

“How do I get paid to be who I am?”

We invite students take an introspective look at their own life and career choices. With the following objectives.

To create empowering solutions for program participants and help them transition into environments where they are valued contributors to the competitive workforce.

To teach program participants the power of overcoming rejection and channeling their own individual efforts to create positive outcomes.

To reinforce the importance of execution and accountability to fulfill their individual career goals and aspirations.

In each training offering, participants will work together as partners in accountability to maximize success in their development. Participants will hold each other accountable towards producing lasting results and engage in candid dialogue about their own progress and limitations.

We minimize lecture and instead encourage participant engagement through empowering questions, hands on exercises and thought-provoking dialogue. Those that are active participants who contribute to the discussion and exhibit candor, tend to maximize the most from the experience.

After full participation and engagement, each participant will uncover roadblocks and progress made in the job search process that is often a marathon and not a sprint.
